Big Data is becoming one of the most important areas of technology. That is why it draws attention both industrial and research organizations since Big Data can have a significant value for them.
We can witness fast grow of information due cheap and numerous information-sensing mobile devices, aerial (remote sensing), software logs, cameras, microphones, radio-frequency identification (RFID) readers, and wireless sensor networks. The world's technological capacity to store information has roughly doubled every 40 months since the 1980s; as of 2012, every day 2.5 exabytes (2.5x1018) of data are generated. It means that if a large international company want to influence the target audience and even develop further it needs to know how to collect, process, and storage Big Data.
The academic program Big Data Solutions will help students understand the Big Data analytics capabilities and potential benefits, and provides skills for designing more effective data-driven analytics strategies.

Electric power generation and transportation are one of the crucial aspects of life in the modern world. Climate change, economic reasons, and scientific progress has led to the transformation of the requirements in the field of electric power generation and transportation. Electric energy generation is directly connected with the location of energy resources such as water (for hydro stations) and fuel while energy consumers are dissipated in the wide area, far away from power suppliers. Transportation of electric energy at long distances requires building of large electric networks, and it leads to additional energy losses. A solution of these issues requires detailed research and relevant highly qualified specialists in the areas of developing and using Renewable Energy Sources and developing of parameters and regimes of electric energy transportation from large power suppliers to various consumers.
Program overview
The program offers students an extensive and detailed study in the key areas, related to renewable energy sources and electric energy transportation. The program goal is to prepare students for a career in electric power generation and transportation that require specialized knowledge and skills. It is expected that the students will be able to work as engineers in industries, government or will be able to conduct research activities.
The program provides advanced knowledge in the mentioned areas. Under the guidance of a research supervisor and a multi-disciplinary team of scientific and engineering faculty, each student has the opportunity to study particular problems, such as development of electric networks based on renewable energy sources and finding optimal regimes for transportation of electric energy.

Condensed matter physics is the field of physics devoted to the studies of structure and properties of matter which is in condensed state (solid and liquids, crystalline and amorphous, inanimate matter and biological objects). Nearly all fields of human activities (solid state physics, atomic and nuclear physics, biophysics, geophysics, chemistry of solids and biochemistry, and many others) are directly related to research of a matter in condensed state or they apply methods and concepts developed in condensed matter physics.
Our program is focused on training the specialists in the field of development, analysis, and application of novel materials for space, military complex and medicine as well as for nuclear engineering, non-destructive testing in industry and customs. However, an individual with fundamental knowledge of the world and skills in solving differential equations can find application for his expertise in a wide range of fields.
