General Information

The Oil and Gas Deposits Exploitation Laboratory was founded in 2010 and is a subdivision of the Heriot-Watt Petroleum Engineering Approved Support Centre.

The unit main goal is to prepare and implement projects in the operation of oil and gas fields. The unit research team works on trial operation projects, calculates reserves and feasibility study of oil recovery factor in the fields, prepare technological development schemes, and oversee the implementation of the project.

The laboratory constantly updated geological and technical models of oil and gas fields, including updating of digital models with new information.

The laboratory research team jointly with the university academic and research staff members and other individuals and groups carries out studies in the mentioned and related research field.
